This webinar will discuss how Akselos' digital twin technology can be used to optimise the operations of Liquid Natural Gas Regasification Terminals. As a result of cumbersome legacy technology, current asset integrity management tools offer an incomplete picture of the integrity of regasification terminals. Digital twin technology can help overcome this obstacle by providing a clear picture of asset health to pinpoint critical safety issues.
Digital twins have already been successfully utilised to improve the efficiency of European regasification plants. For example, Akselos is currently using digital twin technology to optimise a floating regasification terminal off the coast of Italy in the Adriatic sea, operated by Adriatic LNG.
In the project's first phase, Akselos is building a digital twin of an Open Rack Vaporiser (ORV), a critical component of the terminal.
