Jimmy Greer
Vice President ESG Outreach and Research, Moody's ESG Solutions

Jimmy Greer is Vice President of ESG Outreach and Research for Moody’s ESG Solutions. In this role, Jimmy leads ESG-related outreach and engagement activities with stakeholders and the creation of original research on a range of ESG issues on topics including the Just Transition, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and social risks.

Before joining Moody’s ESG Solutions, Jimmy was Head of Sustainability at The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global professional accountancy body. As Head of Sustainability at ACCA, he led activities across the organization to advance the role of finance professionals in engaging with ESG issues. In this capacity, he created award-winning research and engaged with policymakers around the world on topics including climate action, social impact measurement and management, business model innovation, the SDGs and ESG risk management.

Rongrong Huo is the Executive Director, Head of Investment Institute at Ninety One plc, an asset management business which is dual-listed on the London Stock Exchange (FTSE250) and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Ninety One is a founder-led global investment manager. The Investment Institute reports directly to the CEO, CIO and delivers strategic insights and analysis across asset classes, investment strategies and borders.

Prior to joining Ninety One plc, Rongrong spent 12 years at HSBC within its investment banking team. As co-Head of Sustainable Finance within Global Banking and Markets, she was responsible for green and sustainable product innovation across financing and investment. She was also Global Head of RMB Business, where she led the overall China and RMB internationalisation strategy, revenue growth, product innovation and wider strategic client execution.

Rongrong is a Visiting Fellow at Tsinghua University in Beijing. She chairs the international workstream for City of London’s Green Finance Initiative and leads overall China engagement. She sits on the Senior Steering Group for the UK Government’s Green Finance Institute. She is also the Chair of the UK’s ESG Leadership Forum. In 2021, she was appointed as a board member/trustee of both the City of London Guildhall School and its Investment Committee.

Rongrong was recognised by Financial News as one of the 100 most Influential Women in Finance for three consecutive years and has also won the Chinese Business Leaders Award for Excellence in Banking. Rongrong has been awarded as a Freeman of City of London in recognition of her contribution in Finance and cross-border business collaboration.

Rongrong also holds a Master of Science degree with Distinction obtained from Bayes Business School (formally Cass) in London, UK. She recently graduated from Harvard Business School and is an Alumni of Harvard.

Venetia Bell is the Group Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Strategy at GIB Asset Management.

Venetia has the overall responsibility for GIB’s sustainability efforts, providing strategic direction, deep expertise, and developing a leading-edge ESG product suite. As Head of Strategy at GIB Asset Management, she has overall responsibility for devising and implementing the company’s strategy of succeeding through scaling and mobilising capital in support of sustainable investment strategies. Venetia joined GIB Asset Management from the Bank of England where, most recently, she was Deputy to the Chief Operating Officer. She is a Certified Investment Fund Director, and a Trustee of two charities. Lennart Hermans
Environmental Research Director, Osmosis Investment Management

Lennart Hermans is Environmental Research Director at Osmosis Investment Management. Osmosis believes that to gain mainstream adoption, sustainable investment should not come at the cost of financial returns and that sustainability metrics, if quantifiable and objective in nature, can be applied to mainstream portfolios to generate alpha.

Prior to joining Osmosis, Lennart was a senior technical officer at the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), where he developed assessment methodologies for corporate disclosures on climate change, water security and deforestation. Lennart also led work on developing reporting frameworks with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) on waste and with the European Commission on best environmental practices targeting high impact sectors.

Lennart holds a Masters in Social Entrepreneurship from Hult International Business School and a Masters of Science in Bioscience Engineering from the KU Leuven, including a semester abroad at the University of Natural Resources, Vienna.

Annachiara Marcandalli
European Head of Sustainable Investing, Cambridge Associates

Annachiara Marcandalli joined Cambridge Associates in 2000 and has more than 20 years of investment and impact experience. Annachiara is the lead investor for clients with assets from $350m to $4bn. Several of these clients are pursuing ambitious ESG integration strategies for the portfolio, ranging from fossil divestment, impact investing carve outs and net zero carbon targets. She also co-chairs the firm’s Sustainable and Impact Investing Council, a cross-practice group that drives strategy and research on sustainability and impact. She served as co-head of the European Endowment and Foundation Practice and leads the firm’s Italian business.

Annachiara is a frequent speaker at European client and industry conferences and regularly contributes to firm research on sustainability trends and strategies. In 2019, she co-authored A Summary of Climate Change Science for Investors and in 2020, she co-authored The Materiality of Sustainability for Investors.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Annachiara was in the investment banking division of Lazard & Freres Italy. She also worked for Sunguard in London, specialising in risk management for complex portfolios.

She holds an Economics degree from Universita’ Commercial “L. Bocconi” in Milan and a MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Anita McBain is a Managing Director at Citi Research, heading EMEA ESG Research.

Anita joined Citi from M&G Investments where she was Head of Responsible Investment & ESG across equities and fixed income. Prior to M&G, Anita led Sustainability Research for an Impact fund focused on mitigating climate change, tackling deforestation and delivering alignment to the SDGs.

Earlier in her career, Anita worked for various buy-side and sell-side firms in credit research and global markets.

James Alexander joined the UK Sustainable Investment Finance Association (UKSIF) as Chief Executive in October 2020, with a strong vision and mandate to further enhance the organisation’s key role in promoting and expanding sustainable investment and finance in the UK.

James has a background in international climate finance and infrastructure finance as well as many years’ experience in leadership roles in membership organisations. Most recently, James supported global megacities to overcome the substantial barriers to financing climate action as Director of the City Finance Programme at the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and Head of the C40 Cities Finance Facility – a project preparation facility he developed, now supporting cities across the world to structure nearly a billion dollars of sustainable infrastructure transactions. David Atkin
CEO, Principles for Responsible Investment

David Atkin was appointed CEO of the Principles for Responsible Investment in December 2021. The PRI is a UN-supported organisation, with more than 4,800 signatories who collectively represent over US $121 trillion in AUM. He is responsible for the PRI’s global operations.

Most recently, David served as the Deputy CEO for AMP Capital and prior to that spent almost 13 years as the CEO for Cbus Superannuation Fund where he saw membership grow from 500,000 to over 750,000 and AUM rise to AUD $55 billion.

Daniel Hanna is the Global Head of Sustainable Finance for Standard Chartered Bank. Daniel established sustainable finance at Standard Chartered and grew it from an intern into a global team that mobilized $22bn in green and transition finance in 2021, with an asset base of $9.2bn, 70% focused on low-income countries, and launched 26 new sustainable finance products.
