Medical device industry is a rapidly growing opportunity area for photonics technologies, with applications ranging from diagnostics to surgical tools and therapeutics. Development of photonic medical devices is a highly complex process as the devices consist of numerous photonic and non-photonic components, which need to be combined for the required functionality.
Therefore, delays in product development are caused by the heterogeneous nature of photonic devices and fragmented offering of the companies. Additionally, regulatory compliance can substantially delay further the product launch if the certified fabrication is not properly addressed in the early phase of the development.
In MedPhab, we introduce a modular approach that significantly simplifies the design and production of these complex systems. For the accelerated design and fabrication, a technology library of MedPhab with catalogues of design and fabrication limits and rules are established. In MedPhab, processes and services of research organizations and ISO13485 certified companies are seamlessly coordinated catering for a wide range of development needs from proof-of-concept phase to medical grade pilot production.
MedPhab’s service model is based on a centralised Front Office coordinating a distributed research organisations and industrial manufacture companies. This enables single-entry point for the customers to find the best solution for their needs. Front Office is staffed by experienced personnel with skills in photonics and advanced medical device technologies.
This webinar introduces MedPhab, presents our technology capabilities and tells how to work with us. By registering for the event, you may find a solution to a product development problem.
