The requirements for automatic loading/unloading systems for loading freeze dryers in an aseptic production line are constantly increasing. The new Annex 1 requires a fundamental rethink of machine design in order to meet all requirements. The use of robots is explicitly required in order to reduce operator intervention in aseptic production to a minimum. These requirements apply not only to new production lines but also to existing machines that are currently still loaded and unloaded manually.
In this webinar, the new challenges of Annex 1 in the area of loading and unloading freeze dryers will be highlighted and solutions for existing freeze drying systems, but also for new production lines, will be presented. The various solution approaches can be scaled from simple robot applications to networked production lines. Pain points in the machine are also highlighted, which must be given special consideration due to the new Annex 1.
