What do you hope attendees will gain at your webinar?
I would like them to better understand how to use their own data to make optimal decisions. Most of us do not realize the power of having real answers instead of guesswork. I know we are in a huge time of massive amounts of information dissemination and having real insights based on data instead of what we think we know would go a long way toward creating a better world. Data affects every aspect of our lives and we should make the best use of it that we possibly can. There are so many smart and amazing tools, methodologies, and wonderful technology out there to make our world better and I hope people take away that message.
What discussions do you look forward to having with the attendees?
I am looking forward to discussing the possibilities of being able to Connect, Unify and Predict using the data we have on hand. It has worked so wonderfully in advancing other industries and after all we've been through, healthcare deserves to be made smarter and easier. We have all of the tools for making our businesses stronger and more efficient and its time is now.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Definitely the diversity. We are a large global company with offices around the world. We come together because we have a common purpose in healthcare and the differences in experience and background help us to create the most innovative solutions with the best people. There is a strong culture of treating people right and maximizing their potential and it comes through in everything the company does. TIBCO is an amazing place to work.
How did you get into the industry?
At the start of my career, I worked with several industries and instantly loved the ever-evolving nature of healthcare. I have worked in developing new products, started and sold 3 companies, worked for a Worldwide architectural firm that built hospitals, consulted, marketed and improved businesses. I love the dynamics and integration possible in the industry.
Where is your favourite place in the world and why?
My favorite place is Japan. I was on the Board for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and we got to travel with them there. We walked multiple cities, took trains and planes, watched the CSO perform with multiple Japanese orchestras, dined at the US Embassy, and visited Sumo stables. It was a once in a lifetime trip.
